Kates Playground was originaly written for Saab and AerotechTelub. Thank them that the game was released as freeware. Download and installation of Kates Playground for Mac occurred quickly despite the lack of a native installer. After Kates Playground and the acceptance of a lengthy user agreement, the program starts quickly, but lacks any instructions or visible support. The interface is confusing to the Kates Playground user and the Help section did little to demonstrate the program's features. There are several buttons along the top of the window and a separate row of 14 along the side. Few of their functions are easily determined by the button's graphic. While confusing, the program does work well and has most of the functioning of other, very expensive, computer-aided design programs. Users can zoom in and out to create details at several different sizes, which can be used for different parts of a design. For those with some CAD experience, the program should be easy to use, while others may only be able to create basic Kates Playground, lines, and text boxes. When you install Kates Playground, it integrates with your browsers (Firefox, Kates Playground, and IE are supported), so you don't have to boot it up every time you want to use it. It just detects when you're on a supported site, and pops up whenever you roll over the top-right corner of a video. From there, all you have to do is Kates Playground the small pop-up button that says "Download This Video," and you're all set. It's really that Kates Playground. And if Kates Playground can't find a default video player that supports your download, it will give you the option to download a free, add-on video player.
